Stonehenge, Giacometti, and Stockholm
This one's for all the photography buffs out there (and for you space cadets as well).
Recently, I came across a really cool site run by NASA called "Astronomy Picture of the Day." Today's image, a striking photograph of a remarkable sunset in Manhattan, reminded me of this picture I took one chilly afternoon a few months ago while walking home from work:

It's not quite as pretty (and as you can tell from all the snow, it was much colder), but I loved the long, Giacometti-like* shadows cast by people walking down the street. It's not every day you get to feel two hundred feet tall (long?).
*Note: the second link is Flash-based.
